Peer feedback approach is one of the effective strategies to develop the learners' writing skill because it stimulates the learners' participation in the second language (L2) writing. Furthermore, Metacognition plays a crucial role to support the learners in their L2 learning process.

Flavell (1979) stated that the concept of metacognition is the human ability to reflect on one's knowledge and control one's knowledge and thinking. Besides, the peer feedback help the teacher to improve the learners' writing skill (Berg, 1999)

Jigsaw Peer Feedback provides a number of opportunities to develop the EFL learners' metacognition in language learning and their engagement in peer feedback practice in writing.

Jigsaw peer feedback approach can be adapted to other EFL or ESL writing contents to strengthen the learner-centered approach.
